About the event
Moving east, Hojun Song’s installation Apple 2010 ripened right before viewers’ eyes while Choi Jeong Hwa’s plastic Lotus Flower charmed audiences with kitsch. N.A.S.A. got down with BIG NAZO dancers, EE showed up dressed like twins from Jupiter, and Tasha Reid and Drunken Tiger surprised us with the vibrancy of South Korea’s soul and hip-hop scenes. We also screened some stand out films from Yeondoo Jung and Nikki S. Lee. But perhaps the most obvious but overlooked spectacle, the KRING itself, might be worth mentioning as the most futuristic venue we’ve ever seen.
